Ministerial Services
If your union would not be recognized by the state, we can still perform a wedding or similar ceremony and we can recommend attorneys who may be able to help you prepare forms that will protect your rights to the fullest extent possible under the law. ** People who are in the process of dying or preparing to cross over to the spiritual realm may encounter many difficulties or fears in dealing with this process. We are experienced in these matters and can provide them with appropriate counseling, blessings and rites, as well as helping family and friends to deal with the passing of the loved one. Fees for these services are on a sliding scale and no one is turned away for lack of funds. Please note: While we know that these situations may arise unexpectedly, please be aware that we are regretfully not always able to respond on a moment's notice. If you would seek our services on these matters, please give us as much notice as possible. Please also note that the more information that you are able to provide regarding the situation, the loved one's and the family's religious orientation or experiences, etc., the more relevant and effective we will be able to make our own services. *** On rare occasions, people may find themselves or their homes subject to the presence or activities of a spirit (sometimes referred to as a "ghost") of someone who has departed the earthly plane. The Church does not perform "exorcisms", as we believe that such rites may be disrespectful, cruel or violent to the spirits involved. We instead provide "spiritual releases" and "clearings", which involve assisting the spirit to move on and leave this world in peace, and then cleansing the house or place of any remaining negative energies to prevent any recurrences. If you are experiencing spiritual visitations and are seeking further guidance regarding this type of situation, feel free to contact Rob at rob@livinginlight.com.
